Sogeti in the UK continues to expand operations in the North of England - launching new hub in Leeds
The new location will create employment opportunities for the local community and provide industry-leading technology services to businesses in the region
Leeds, September 21, 2022 – Sogeti in the UK, a leading technology services provider, part of the Capgemini Group, today announced that it will be opening a new hub in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The expansion further highlights Sogeti’s commitment to provide market leading professional services to the local business community – replicating the success it has seen in other countries.
Sogeti’s new operations in the city, its first Yorkshire hub, will build on its existing presence in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol and will be headed by Cassy Calvert, Hub Director at Sogeti in the UK. Sogeti in Leeds is looking to hire over 40 employees with a particular focus on Quality Engineering & Testing and specialists delivering Cloud and applications solutions. The hub will function as a collaboration area for these employees.
Sogeti chose Leeds in recognition of the city’s growing reputation as a digital and technology powerhouse, and its thriving business scene. Leeds also offers a strong pool of graduate technology talent, stemming from the city’s leading universities. As part of its integration into the community, Sogeti plans to work alongside local universities to offer career lectures and speaker opportunities to educate students on the different career paths available to IT graduates.
The new location will also be used to support Capgemini’s long-standing partnership with UK-based non-profit, Code Your Future – an organisation that trains refugees and other disadvantaged people to become IT specialists, helping them to find work in the technology industry. As well as providing office space for Code Your Future classes from September, Sogeti volunteers will support the Code Your Future team and run homework clubs with the students during the week.
In addition, the new location will enable UK charity AbilityNet to expand its digital assistance network to Leeds, with members of the new Sogeti office having the opportunity to join AbilityNet’s community-based volunteer network helping individuals with any disability, of any age, use digital technology.

To mark the launch, Sogeti is hosting an event focusing on, ‘Infinite Machine Creativity’ on 28 September. Part of the Leeds Digital Festival 2022, the event will feature Michiel Boreel, Sogeti’s Global Chief Technology Officer, discussing the breakthrough capabilities of Deep Machine Learning[1] and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)[2] and presenting examples of how both can create value while also accelerating digital transformation.
