New Service Launch: Camelot

Sogeti provides Camelot UK with the assurance to trial new augmented reality scratchcard campaign.

Background:

Camelot UK offers wide ranges of regularly-refreshed draw-based and instant play games across a number of channels – players are able to buy tickets in-store, online or on mobile devices. Camelot UK chose to introduce an augmented reality app before Christmas, to give scratchcards and POS an additional dimension for a 10 week campaign. Due to limited resources and the extremely tight deadline Camelot UK, looked to Sogeti’s UK-based web and mobile testing lab, Sogeti Studio for test support.

Solution:

The task for the Studio was to test the player experience, functionality and flow, and meet the challenge of introducing Blippar within a short window. By carrying out various testing across a range of operating systems based on the devices most commonly used by Camelot UK customers, the campaign worked seamlessly and was a complete success.

Benefits:

The game was played by over 12,000 customers. Not only did Camelot UK save money by using Sogeti Studio, due to the day rate and its flexibility to scale up and down, but they also saved time by to not having to recruit more in-house resources. The success of the project allowed Camelot UK to capture key information about its customers which could potentially be used to secure further interaction and sales.
