Aberdeen International Airport is a key entry point to Scotland’s 3^rd largest city, serving 3.76 million travellers in 2014. Due the decentralisation of the BAA Brand, Aberdeen International Airport was tasked with launching its own web solution, and their primary objective was that the new site provided a first-rate user experience. Due to a lack of resources, professional research facilities and time, Aberdeen International Airport turned to Sogeti, to assist with a research projects that would identify the right user journeys so ensure their move to a new, locally managed eCommerce site was a success.

Solution:

Sogeti Studio, Sogeti’s local web and mobile testing lab, carried out quantitative and qualitative data research over 5 days which was collated to provide clear recommendations to support the complete redesign of the airports’ website. The qualitative feedback gave Aberdeen International Airport the evidence-based knowledge to direct development to the sections that were identified as a risk in the report. This research enabled the client to identify which areas of the site required the most focus and investment for development.
